About
the Author:
Marnie L. Pehrson Kuhns
Marnie L. Pehrson Kuhns was born
and raised in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. An avid
enthusiast of family history, Marnie integrates elements of the
places, people and events of her Southern family and heritage
into her historical fiction romances. Marnie's life is steeped
in Southern history from the little town of Daisy that she grew
up in to the 24 acres bordering the famous Chickamauga
Battlefield upon which her family resides. The Chickamauga
Battlefield has inspired many of her books, including Angel
and the Enemy and Rebecca’s
Reveries, In
Love We Trust / Second
Sight.
Her May 2004 release, The
Patriot Wore Petticoats, was based on the true story of
Marnie's heroic fourth great-great grandmother, Laodicea
"Daring Dicey" Langston. Ever since she learned that
Dicey and she were born exactly 200 years apart to the month,
Marnie, a mother of six, has felt a bond with the heroic mother
of 22 children! It was Dicey's remarkable life story and the
encouragement from her friend, Marcia
Lynn McClure, that persuaded Marnie to depart from her
inspirational writing to venture into historical fiction
romance. With Marnie's inspirational writing background, you can
always count on a moral to every story.
Marnie has written a total of 27 fiction and nonfiction titles. Find a complete list on Amazon.
Marnie and her husband Dave live in Ringgold, Georgia in a house that
